.bE was tonight at Centralia Nazarene Church. It was the last time we put on .bE v1.0, and it went really well. We probably had close to 50 people there, and it was a pretty diverse group I’d say, from some young parents with infants to some 70+ yr olds. Three of my best friends came (2 all the way from Seattle), and Justin Baeder, his wife Amy and their friend Dawn came down from Seattle as well. It was a great group, and many people were really touched by the evening. It’s funny how something becomes so ‘normal’ for you, putting it on, attending services like it…but for some people, this stuff is really “out there” and new and exciting and different. I had some great conversations with people after the gathering. We had a great time cleaning up and it was completely freeing to be able to leave the church with only one small crate of things I decided to keep. My friends who run the Axis service at the Nazarene church were really excited about taking all the .bE stuff, and they’ll definitely be using it in the future, so that makes me feel great.
I’ve enjoyed my first round of alt.worship and I’m excited to see what will happen at Princeton, and what we’ll be able to create out there. Only 9 days left here in Washington before I begin the great drive across the country. Anyway, it was a wonderful day getting ready for .bE and being able to see how it was able to touch many people who came. It’s been a fun alt.journey so far…
