This post is part of a technology series called “What?! You’re not using…?” where I’m sharing ten technology sites/apps that I find to be very helpful – and you might too!
I’m pretty sure I heard about Clippy from Adam Copeland, but I can’t find a post about it on his blog, so I’m not sure anymore (even if he isn’t the one who mentioned it, he’s still a great guy and you should check out his blog, A Wee Blether).
Clippy is awesome. You know when you’re working, you copy and paste one thing, then copy another thing, but then wish you could paste the first thing you copied one more time…? So you have to go back and find where it was, copy it again, and then paste it. Clippy is magic – it keeps a record of your recently copied text, and so if you need to find one from a few copies ago, you just select it from the Menu Bar and you’re good to go.
I initially wasn’t sure about paying for it on the Mac App Store, but it’s been so worth it. Such a handy little app to have, I’m glad to have found out about it. It’s only $0.99 on the Mac App Store, so you should totally check out Clippy. Not much more to say about it than that – it’s incredibly handy.
