.bE in Challis

November 7, 2003 Adam Walker Cleaveland

I forgot to mention how the retreat I was at last weekend went. I went up with a group of over 100 junior and senior high students with the Twin Falls Nazarene Church. We stayed at Living Waters Ranch – an absolutely beautiful retreat center. The weekend was fairly exhausting but I had a great time and made some fun connections with students.

For a Saturday-night late-night option, we did .bE – we had about 50-60 students and sponsors show up for the evening. It was awesome. The pictures above aren’t the greatest, but hopefully it will give you an idea of what we did. We set up the 12 prayer stations in a circle, with a “prayer/pool” in the center. Students sat inside the circle and gave the evening a much more free feel to it – students began engaging with the prayer stations from the very beginning. Students and the adult sponsors responded overwhelmingly to .bE [as we have seen each time we’ve done .bE] – so that was very encouraging. We will most likely be doing the next .bE in January at the Twin Falls Reformed Church’s new facility – and then [hopefully – I will know within a week or so] in February at Whitworth College.
