LOTR & Going Home

December 17, 2003 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Even in Idaho, we have Frodo and Gollum. I went to the midnight showing of LOTR: Return of the King last night with my friends Rob & Shastina. It was…yah, pretty sweet. But…I have to make another confession When I was in junior high, all of my friends were reading the LOTR books. I read The Hobbit. And then…I stopped. Yes, I, Adam Cleaveland, have not read the books. There, I said it. It is something that I know I am going to remedy soon. It was kind of funny, at the end of the movie, it says on the credits, “Based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien, and I said, “What? It was based on a book?” outloud, and got some pretty interesting looks from people around me.

I got home around 4.30am, and I actually just woke up (12.30pm). I’m off to play pool with one of my high school guys and then off to the Wendell High School Band/Choir Christmas concert. Tomorrow morning I’m going home to Chehalis, WA. I’m really looking forward to hanging out with family and friends, like Josh Cleveland (there bro, I mentioned you on my blog), Steve, Chris, Bryan, Andy, Kara, Derek, Steph and others. I will be blogging from home, so I will write more from Washington.
