Emergent Convention: Closing Session

May 23, 2004 Adam Walker Cleaveland

I was only able to stay for the first hour of the closing session, but it was incredibly meaningful. Felt like I was really able to worship, as McLaren led us in a time of responsive readings, prayers and reflection as we sang hymns and listened to the ethereal music of Harp 46. Loved it. Shared in a time of breaking of chocolate & bread and drinking juice one another. Mark Scandrette led us in a “toast to Jesus” that was also meaningful. I had to leave a little after that, but was able to say goodbye to Jonny Baker, Gareth, Shane, Tara, Cory, Nancye and Tom – I love new friends.
