I have too much to say, and I have only had 2 beers, but I’m feeling like definitely just going to sleep right now.
So many wonderful things have happened today; discussions, seminars and hearing Dr. Robert Franklin preach and share with us. This is an absolutely amazing man and it was a joy to be able to learn and be inspired from his word.
Today I’ve been getting to know some of the Ministry Fellows much better, and I just got back from a very cool bar, McCormick’s with about 7 other Ministry Fellows. We had some wonderful conversations and got to laugh a lot. This made me even more excited for evenings out at seminary; even though all of us who were together this evening will be at different seminaries (Duke, Princeton, Columbia, Harvard, Luther, McCormick, and a few others) – it’s great to begin to form these friendships. I had some very fun ones this evening. Got a chance to talk with a wonderful new friend, Sarah, about some experiential worship (.bE) and how both of us are very excited about pursuing some of these things in our fellowship projects for next summer.
There are other fun things from today, but I’m really not feeling like laying here in my bed and typing anymore. Even though I’m still not sure how I feel about them putting us up in the Hilton (obviously it’s VERY nice, but is it necessary?)…I can’t NOT admit that the beds in this Hilton are absolutely the most wonderfully comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in; I might even go as far as to say that it is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in…ever. So…that is why I am going to sleep right now. Yay for Tylenol PM and Hilton hotel beds. More to come later…
