Spent most of today driving around….got a little tired, but it was good. Went out to Warrington, PA to my friend Abby’s house, and picked up another chair for my room. Then we went shopping at Wal*Mart and other stores and picked up some more ‘essentials’ (pictures of the room will be coming soon and very soon – it’s 80% better than it was last night!, so be looking forward to some sweet shots). Had some help from friends getting room rearranged, and grabbed dinner at Panera in downtown Princeton. Just got back from Winberrie’s Bar, after enjoying some Yuenglings.
We start orientation activities tomorrow night, and we’re supposed to wear “business attire.” We’ll see how that works out. (My room is right next to the elevator…and someone is using it right now…seriously. Come on jerky, it’s 12.30am and you’re using the elevator…just walk up the frickin’ stairs!). I’m off to return my books on CD to Cracker Barrel tomorrow morning, get a bank account and find myself a job. I leave with you the words of advice, a new pastor friend gave me in an email. Enjoy…
Remember: play nice with the other children, don’t chew gum in class, don’t make fun of traditional worship, don’t push, raise your hand to share your thoughts, don’t dis’ Calvin, and just open up to receive the incredible new friendships and ideas awaiting you.
