“What can I get for you, ma’am?”

Welcome to my world, 10hrs a week. It’s not much, I know, and it’s still providing some fun for me and my friends who are working at the cafeteria with me. Yesterday, I had to work the register…during lunch…which is absolutely horrible. The line backs up, people want to get through quick, and I’m pushing LEVEL 1, Soup-To-Go, or trying to find the stupid Potato Chip button. Josh’s comment on whether he’d like to go back and work the register again was: “I’d rather lick the grease off the pans in the dishroom.” At any rate, these are some shots tonight at dinner, with Nick and I in our cowboy hats feeding the hungry. Nick and I have a lot of fun…as well as Lindsay, Rhoda, Josh, Becca and others who work there full-time; it’s really a great staff.

Went to the opening worship service for Princeton’s Association of Black Seminarians tonight. The Rev. Dr. Bernadette Glover-Williams spoke; she is the Executive Pastor of Cathedral International. Definitely not like the previous chapel services we’ve had. Intense preaching, a huge focus on social issues, some critique of seminary education (with our President, Iain, right there in the pew), etc…Well, I’m off to finally make some Hebrew flashcards. I’ve been meaning to get around to that…be looking for some more theological posts sometime soon. I mean…I am in seminary after all.
