Fun Reasons to Live in Princeton: Vol 1

September 24, 2004 Adam Walker Cleaveland

I was walking down to the UPS store in Princeton today to take care of some errands and I walked past this black woman with the most amazing grey dreads. I thought to myself, “Hmm, is that Toni Morrison?” I took a few more steps, did the turn-around and realized, “That IS Toni Morrison.” I turned around again and thought about getting a quick phone-cam shot, or busting out the digital, but she looked at me. Toni Morrison looked at me, through her sunglass-covered eyes (I’m trying to be poetic here, in respect for Toni). I kept on walking…just appreciating the town I now call home for the next few years.

Had a good day today, a few classes & precepts (Princeton’s fancy old-school name for small discussion groups), did a few errands, and then played a good solid 2hrs of frisbee, which was pretty sweet. Tonight I’m off to the 2nd Brown party, which is supposedly one of the biggest on the campus for the year…so, that’s where I’m headed now…stay tuned for more theology!
