Princeton Theological Seminary wins Frisbee Tournament

April 12, 2005 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Last weekend, I was down at the 2005 Presbyterian Seminary Ultimate Frisbee Weekend Tournament, held at Union Seminary in Richmond, VA. Ultimate frisbee teams from Princeton, Columbia, Pittsburgh, Louisville and Union showed up to play the tournament. It was the perfect frisbee weekend, despite predicted thunderstorms, and the tournament was put together very well. Union’s President helped financially with the cost of the event, so for $15, each participant got 5 meals, lodging for 2 nights, a t-shirt and a great weekend. There was some really great frisbee played last weekend, and Princeton (blue, the "Royal We" team) took the championship with a win over a team from Union. People seemed pretty interested in seeing Princeton beat, but, it just didn’t happen. It was a really great weekend, and we had some great frisbee, some chances to enhance inter-seminary relationships, and get a great sun-tan (or burn…) playing frisbee all day Saturday. Click here for a detailed account of a Columbia Theological Seminary student’s perspective on the weekend (it’s pretty damn funny).
