And, he’s off!

May 13, 2005 Adam Walker Cleaveland

I should have spaced these shots out to make them a bit more dramatic, but….it was quite the process. We all hate having to move out of our rooms at Princeton, especially if we are moving into the exact same room (like I am) in the fall. But…there is something to be said for the process of packing, sorting, throwing away and moving stuff. Therapeutic in a sense…but, of course, I can only say that now that it’s done. I was definitely bitching about it through the process.

But I jumped on a plane today, and I’m sitting here in Spokane, WA right now, getting ready to spend the weekend attending graduation activities (all of which I went through only…3 years ago) at Whitworth. I passed through the land of Dooce, as I caught a connection in Salt Lake City earlier this evening.

My sister and her boyfriend picked me up, and now I’m about ready to hit the sack. I’m looking forward to a crazy summer…oh, what am I doing you ask? Well…let me tell you. For some reason, I like to make my summers look like this – activity to activity to activity…and they are sometimes tiring, but always wonderful; anyway, here goes:

May 7: Classes end

May 8-12: Hanging in Princeton, NJ

May 13-16: In Spokane, WA at my sister’s graduation from Whitworth

May 17-20: In Nashville, TN for Emergent Convention

May 21-22: In Atlanta, GA with Sarah

May 23-24: With Sarah, driving to Boston (with stops in Winston-Salem to see Tim and then to hang with April and Nuc in Washington D.C.

May 25-29: In Boston, with Sarah
May 30-June 4: In Rochester, NY (Sarah’s home) with Sarah

June 4-6: Back in Princeton, NJ for a few days

June 7: Fly to Cairo

June 7-17: Somewhere between Cairo and Jerusalem

June 18-August 14: Living in Bethlehem, working, learning Arabic, etc., all through the Holy Land Trust

August 15-24: Traveling between Jerusalem and Bethlehem

August 25: Fly from Tel Aviv to Newark, NJ

August 26: Princeton, NJ

August 27: Drive to Atlanta, GA to see Sarah

August 28-29: In Atlanta, GA with Sarah

August 30-September 6: Fly to Seattle with Sarah (do Seattle, Mt. Rainer, other fun west-coast things)

September 7-8: Back in Atlanta, GA with Sarah

September 9: Drive from Atlanta, GA to Princeton

September 10: Move into dorms

September 11: Start Field Education with Princeton Presbyterians

September 14: Classes start.

It will be an amazing summer…life-changing…so many things that I’m too excited about right now…

…but right now, I just need sleep.
