After a wonderful afternoon horseback riding…
…we took off on the road and headed down to Winston-Salem. We were going to meet my good friend Tim from Princeton. Here’s Tim – he’s a great friend who was in the Upper Room group with me.
Tim and Sarah and I went out for dinner, and then went for a beautiful walk through some really pretty gardens.
Then we had a great time hanging out at the Foothills Brewery in Winston-Salem. We had a great waiter, until he spilled beer on Tim, but we all laughed about it, and he was still a great waiter…right Tim?
But the best surprise of the evening (which should NOT have been a surprise to me at all) was meeting up with my best friend from high school, Andy, and his wife Amanda. They live in Greensboro, NC – and I had totally spaced on that – but they drove into Winston and joined us for some drinks that night – it was awesome to hang out with them.
Good good times in Winston-Salem….
