Life in Idaho.

December 14, 2005 Adam Walker Cleaveland

For those of you who don’t know, I served as the Director of Youth Ministries for 2 years in a small, rural church in southern Idaho. Those were some good days. I loved many aspects of my time in Idaho, and it’s really a gorgeous place. I was flipping through some old pictures today, and thought I’d share some fun ones with you. Enjoy!

So my church had “Round-Up Sunday” in the fall, and we were all supposed to dress up “Country/Western” and round-up all of our friends and family and bring them to church. So, I had to do my part as the youth pastor…

Yup, that’s a pig. That was from our youth event called SQUEAKY PIG NITE. Yah…oh Idaho.

I was a very very non-competitive player with my students, when it came to games…except for a few occasions, one of which had to be this day at the go-karts. Here I’m coming around, sponsored by Mt. Dew, ready to kick some student-ass. I definitely rammed him. You can see it in my face. Sheer determination.

Here I’m posing as a bad-ass sledder. I only went once, but it was a pretty amazing experience.

We saw this truck driving home from a skiing day in Idaho. Yup, definitely a dead animal in the back of the truck. Pretty funny, and VERY Idaho.

Hmm, not sure this is one of my best moments, but…oh well. It used to be the #1 image on Google Image Search if you typed in ‘partying.’ It has since gone down to the 5th page. Apparently, there has been some more partying since then. I’m not actually drunk in the picture, but it sure is a good fake….I actually only had one margarita that night….

This was from the last Sunday School that I did. I love these students. Enough said. Definitely feeling a little nostalgic today. These kids from Idaho were great!

This was my last night in Idaho – before I was supposed to drive home. What a night…it SUCKED. But, luckily, I got better enough to make the drive home…
