SBL/AAR Day 1

November 17, 2006 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Day 1 is over and we had fun. Check out our photos on Flickr here. Had a meeting this morning, but then we got out and went to the National Cathedral…walked a ton today and our feet our hurting today (maybe we’re getting old?!?!?) We hung out at the Convention Center a bit today and were a bit overwhelmed by the Exhibitor Hall, where there were many, many books at 40-50% off. If you know either of us, especially my wife, this is dangerous territory. So I’m sure we’re coming home with some books. Saw some PTS folk today (Iain Torrance, Dr. Van Huyssteen) and I’m sure we’ll run into more tomorrow. We also were walking behind Wally B (Brueggemann; but Sarah likes to call him Wally B) outside of the Convention Center. We worked at EIS (Career Center) tonight and I’m sure it will be more hectic tomorrow, but…oh well. More friends show up tomorrow…more work, hitting up a few sessions…things are good.
