Over the past couple years, publishers have started to realize the potential impact and persuasiveness of bloggers and what they review and recommend on their blogs. So, they started sending out books to bloggers to review. I certainly don’t mind the free books – and most of the time, they’re good books – but I’ve found myself completely backed up, and having a hard time getting around to reviewing the books I was hoping to. As you can see from my shelf (photo above) – there are already plenty that I’m hoping to get around to reading and reviewing…so, I’ve decided to share the wealth. Below are nine books that I would like to get rid of – there are some that are advanced reader copies, but most are just regular books. If you want one, just email me and let me know your top 3 choices for books, and I’ll make sure you get one (until the nine are gone). However, there are three stipulations:
- You must have a blog.
- You must either review the book on your blog, or at least mention it.
- You must pay $3 Shipping and Handling (I know, I know – but I’m a poor seminarian). You’ll just pay through PayPal (once I figure out who is getting what book – I’ll send you the link to PayPal).
The books available are:
The Politics of Jesus by Obery M. Hendricks Jr.Chasing Sophia by Lilian Calles BargerTen Prayers God Always Says Yes To by Anthony DestefanoStill Waters and Skyscrapers by Dave TomlinsonStatic by Ron MartoiaJesus of Nazareth by Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVIWide Open Spaces by Jim PalmerButterfly in Brazil by Glenn PackiamEverything Must Change by Brian McLaren
Update: There may be some confusion here. The photo above includes some of the books I listed above – but just because you see them in the photo – that doesn’t mean they are up for grabs. Those are books that are on my todo list to read and/or review. The only books that are available for you are the 9 listed above in the post. Hope that clears up some confusion.
