Weight Watchers Update: Week 4

May 21, 2009 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Starting Weight: 164 / Current Weight: 158 / Goal Weight: 150

Well, I hit my first milestone this past Monday (I’m a few days late with this post). And it was the 5lb weight loss milestone. I’ll have to admit, it was a bit of a surprise. I hadn’t weighed myself for a few days and so when the scale read 158, I was pretty happy. So, since starting on April 20th, I’ve lost 6lbs. That’s not bad for the first month. And it’s been fun to actually notice the loss…

  • I put on my khakis Monday night, and realized how much I needed a belt. They’re size 33 waist, and were really super loose.
  • I’ve recently been wearing this belt I got years ago when I started college because I like it so much. But I’ve been on the very last hole on the belt. This morning I realized I could move up a belt hole.
  • I think I’ve noticed my “beer gut” getting smaller…it’s definitely still there, but I also have another 8 pounds to lose before I hit my goal weight of 150. So, I’m not too worried.

I think the best part is that I’m feeling pretty good about where I’m at now…eating what I want to eat…and just counting those points. I know it’s only been a month…but I think that the Weight Watchers system is a pretty dang good one. Had I gone a different route, like South Beach or another diet that really takes away a lot of the “normal” foods…I think it would have been a lot harder to stick with it, even for a month.
