Weight Watchers Update: Week 13

July 21, 2009 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Starting Weight: 164 / Current Weight: 159.5 / Goal Weight: 150

So I sat on this post today and wasn’t sure whether to post it or not. Basically, it feels like a “I give up” post. Defeated perhaps. While I’m not all the way back up at 164, I do feel a lot different from when I was at 157.5. While that seems crazy, those 2lbs felt like a lot. For the past few weeks, I think I’ve basically given up – I’ve been eating what I want – and (more specifically) the PORTIONS that I want. Granted there have been some travel weeks, family visiting and lots of eating out – so I guess I have excuses. But they’re not great ones.

I had hoped to be at 150lbs for my friend Josh’s wedding this past week. That obviously didn’t happen. So I started keeping track of my points again today. In some ways, it feels like I’m back at Day 1 again. But I’m not. I am still 4.5lbs less than when I started – it’s just that I have 9.5 more to go to get to the weight I’m hoping for. It’s funny the way I think sometimes – I wonder if I just had a better iPhone App – THEN I’d be better at keeping track of my points and I’d be able to lose weight…that’s pretty sad. But anyway – I’m trying to get back on the train this week. We’ll see how that works out…
