Shop on Amazon & Support this Site

May 28, 2012 Adam Walker Cleaveland

Over the years, I’ve tried to find ways to monetize this blog in ways that aren’t distracting or annoying or unethical for readers. For the most part, I’ve been working on selling a few ads here and there, and relying on affiliate sales. I’ve been getting some more traffic on my Amazon Associates account recently, and just wanted to make sure you were aware of one way that you could support this blog.

If you’re like me…you buy a TON of stuff on Amazon. It’s super handy, and with Prime shipping it all arrives very fast. Well – if you know you’re going to be doing some shopping on Amazon, why not just add 1 click to your experience and go to this site, Pomomusings.com, and click the Amazon.com link on the right sidebar. It will take you straight to Amazon, and then you just go about your shopping as usual.

What it does is allows me to make a very small percentage based on what you’re buying. Obviously, you’re not going to be doing this every time you go to Amazon.com (although…why not?). But if you’re going to make a somewhat big purchase on Amazon, why not just come to this site first…and then click over to Amazon. I’d appreciate it. My wife would appreciate it. And of course…Caleb would appreciate it.

When I first told him about this great idea, I also said that some people would probably not do it. This was his response – a clear sign of confusion:

But then I told him there might be some who would be willing to try it out…and he was clearly relieved!
