A good friend of mine, Rachel Goble, is President of The Sold Project, an organization that I’ve tried to support over the years. They do amazing work in Thailand, helping to fight child prostitution and education at-risk children. This is their mission statement: Our mission is to prevent child prostitution through culturally relevant programs for vulnerable children and to share their stories to empower creative, compassionate people to act.
They are in the running to get over $30,000 in funding from Nike as part of The Girl Effect Challenge. The Top 6 organizations will receive the funding, and yesterday, they went from #1 to #7 and as of last night, they were back in the #1 spot. I would love to see them finish out this challenge in the Top 6, and preferably the #1 spot! And here’s where you come in.
The challenge ends TODAY at midnight ET. All it takes is a $10 donation to support the work of The Sold Project and to keep them in the running to remain a finalist. If they are in the Top 6, it will be a HUGE benefit to the organization. I was chatting with Rachel last night, and she said it could be a game-changer for them and the work they do. If they win, The Sold Project will get:
- More than $30,000 in additional funding
- The endorsement of The Girl Effect & a huge credibility boost
- Significant exposure & new opportunities
I encourage you to donate $10 to The Sold Project today – and help them stay in the #1 spot!
