The Plan: Day 1

January 27, 2013 Adam Walker Cleaveland

LG-Plan-Day1

Day 1 is over. I think both Sarah and I ended the day pretty dang hungry, realizing how many snacks we normally eat throughout the day, and both having completed Day 1 successfully. The meals today included:

  • Breakfast: Flaxseed granola + rice milk + blueberries
  • Lunch: Carrot Ginger Soup + steamed broccoli + mixed greens and a pear
  • Dinner: Sautéed Kale + Carrot and Beet salad
  • In addition to the food, we both drank half our body weight in ounces of water.

I will be very glad when this 3 day cleanse is over. Although, I will have to admit that I have a greater appreciation for blueberries now, and the kale really wasn’t that bad.

I also had an even greater appreciation for the Weight Watchers program that I did before. The ability to eat whatever you want, and just focus more on fruits, veggies and portion sizes…that sounds a lot better than having to make all these crazy foods. Granted, this is the cleanse portion of the program, so…I’m trying to remain positive.

I did run across an interesting review of this program by blogger Rachel Marie Stone, who was not a fan of the program. Of course you’re always going to find people who are either in support or find issues with every kind of diet out there. We’ll see how it works for me.
