Lent Photo-a-Day: Return

Today’s prompt for the word “Return” on the Lenten Tumblr site ended with this:

As we continue in this season of Lent, is there something from which you are returning or are turning [away]? If so, what is it that will sustain you as you continue on this journey? Who is it that travels with you? What are you bringing with you? [source]

I guess when I thought of the word “return” – I got to thinking that you can’t really return to a place if you haven’t gone away from it. So this image spoke to me about the nature of journeys, and how there is always movement. Sometimes you’re going forward, sometimes you’re returning…and sometimes when you’re going forward, you still find yourself looking backward and pondering what’s behind you and what the return will look like…whenever it happens.
