Sometimes when I hear the word “earthly” – I think it has a bit of a negative connotation. The “earthly” desires we might have, as opposed to things that are more focused on the Spirit. I don’t know why that word seems to bring that up for me, because there is good in this world. There are a lot of ways in which there are good things in this world…and sometimes we just need to believe it. But more importantly, we need to take the time, the effort, and have the desire to actually be the good in the earth, be the good in the world.
