Back in 2006, I started up Cleave Design. I realized that doing web and graphic design during seminary would be a great way to supplement the measly income I made working on-campus jobs. And it was fun. Once I decided to get official, I remember wanting to find a way to send official invoices to future clients.
It was quite awhile ago, so I don’t remember all of the other sites that I ran across while researching, but I ended up signing up with Blinksale. It was a very clean user interface, worked well for my needs (which weren’t many at the time) and I liked the functionality of it.
So, that was 8 years ago, and I would say the same thing about Blinksale today. Throughout those 8 years, and through some changes in leadership at the company, I’ve had great service. There were a couple times when I ran into some issues, and their customer service was really good.
I know there is a lot more that I could be doing with Blinksale (they have an impressive list of features, including customizable invoices, ability to send estimates, and the ability to get paid through Stripe), but for my purposes, it still works really well and I find it to be a great service that I still use for Cleave Design. So if you’re looking for a way to get started with your small business (or a large business, any business really!), I would highly recommend checking out Blinksale.
