I leave on Tuesday for my summer in the Middle East. I will be blogging as often as possible, hopefully with some photos, video and audio from time to time. I fly from Newark on Tuesday, June 7th and I’ll arrive in Cairo at midnight of the next day. I’ll stay in Cairo and travel around the Sinai Peninsula and Jordan before entering into Israel, and then on to where I’ll be living for the rest of the summer.
I’m a little nervous about how it’s all going to work out – but I know I’m going to have an absolutely amazing summer. It will be life-changing for sure. It’s definitely the longest I’ve ever traveled internationally, and so that is going to be interesting and hard at times I’m sure, and I’m going to miss someone terribly while I’m abroad this summer, but 12 weeks really isn’t that long in the grand scheme of things.
Welcome to my blog for the summer…
