I am back in Princeton for 2 days until I fly out of Newark on Tuesday night. Amazingly, my sister who is on a trip to Europe for a class is going to be in London the same day I am for my 12-hr layover, so I’ll be spending Wednesday traipsing around London, and then I’ll fly to Cairo that night and arrive around midnight. I have someone from Cairo’s Evangelical Theological Seminary picking me up at the airport and I’ll be hanging out with the PC(USA) Young Adult Volunteers in Cairo, before heading off to Sinai, Jordan (Petra) and finally up into Israel for the summer. I’ll be working here (it describes my work as follows: to help during the summer camp, and through the center’s activities during the summer. Teaching art and painting, story telling, drama and theater and accompany children during field visits) and learning Arabic here.
Sarah and I had an amazing roadtrip – 18 days together (her account is here). It was really really good, we had a great time in the car, wonderful time with her parents, amazing time getting to know one another better…it was hard to leave. Instead of giving you all the details, check out the photos below. A few days after I get back from Israel-Palestine, and she returns from her time at Iona, we’ll be flying to Seattle to hang out with my parents and see the beautiful northwest in the summer (August 29-September 3) and then off to Wendell, ID so she can see Idaho and I can meet with my Presbytery (September 3-7). It will be a great trip. With that, I leave you the photos…
