Last night we did the .bE worship gathering at Princeton and it went amazingly well. It felt really good to finally be able to share this type of a worship experience with the Princeton Seminary community and from what I can tell, it was received very well. We definitely had the biggest crowd ever (probably around 120 people) and it was wonderful to have so many people involved in the creative process, the setting up (and tearing down…THANK YOU!), the music, communion and other parts throughout the experience.
My favorite part of the evening was just hanging out downstairs as people came down. Everyone seemed to have such a "glow" about them, and they just smiled and wanted to hug and say thank you for the experience. I don’t think we seminarians get enough (or any…) time to simply rest and be in the presence of Christ.
I’ve encouraged PTS folks who attended .bE to come here and leave their thoughts and feedback, so it will be interesting to see if they do come, and what they say. I felt really good about the whole evening, and I look forward to hearing what others are saying about .bE. Also, if you are a PTS student and you want to be included on the .bE email list to help with the next one, please email me and let me know. And a special thanks to everyone who helped so much to make .bE what it was last night (Mandy, Peter, Amy, Becca, Josh, Lucy and everyone else I’m forgetting…).
