The ceremony was gorgeous. Although the church was incredibly hot and we were all sweating, the service was beautiful. Sarah and I had put a lot of work into adapting the liturgy, and if you want to read through the ceremony bulletin, click here. One of the best parts about the service was all of our friends who were able to be involved, from having our good friends Jake and Mark marry us to having our close friends be in our wedding party and read scripture. We were also blessed to have Jen Lemen give us a charge and final blessing and have Harp 46 play the music for the ceremony. It was gorgeous. Of course, there were the things that will make it memorable: the extreme heat and sweating, the limo driver taking Sarah and the other girls to the wrong town, and of course, Sarah’s cell phone going off from the back of the church during Mark’s homily. We have an audio recording and video recording of the ceremony, so those will be fun to listen to and watch. It’s amazing how much you reall are out of it during the ceremony. I didn’t even remember hearing any of Pachelbel’s Canon as Sarah walked down the aisle; neither did she. Anyway, it was a wonderful service and ceremony; one that we’ll never forget…
